What is Bug-a-Loo For Kids?
Is a fun,entertaining game for children. The game is designed for early readers to reinforce reading words for different levels of reading. Parents can select which lists of words are used in the game , starting with Dolch pre primer words, through to Dolch 3rd grade. How do I create my own word list?To create your own word list, first select Custom from the word list options (paper list icon =- third icon at the top of the game window). Click Save. A word list file called bugaloo.txt will be created on your desktop. Edit this file in your favourite text editor.
There are two formats supported by the custom word list.
- Single words - Add one word per line in the text file. These will be the words used in the game. (hint: you can also add full sentences up to about 45-50 characters long)
- Word:category - If you wish to customise the category listing for the words add your words in the format word:category (the default bugaloo.txt file shows an example of this method). Whatever is written after the : will be displayed as the category
